Look. I don’t wear a lot of makeup and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to start slinging beauty products. It seemed a little funny to me. But the truth is, Beautycounter rocks.

What actually sold me was that its cause—to get safer products into the hands of everyone through education—aligns with who I am and what I do. Turns out, it’s a great fit. Just another way for me to spread the word about living a clean and mindful life.

In other important news, Beautycounter is a fiscally sound multi-million dollar company (check!), run by a woman (win!), supporting other women (yes!), that watches out for its people and the planet (B-corps rule!), AND takes social/political action by lobbying all the way to Washington (DC, not the state—well, actually, the state too) to make sure that much higher standards for the beauty product industry are put into law.

Does this mean they will have more competition in their super safe, we-don’t-use-1500-chemicals-known-to-be-dangerous-in-our-products niche market? Absolutely. Do they care? YES! Because Beautycounter has values that supersede the bottom-line. Beautycounter wants more brands doing what they are doing. And I love a company with share-the-love kinds of values.

So do I wear more makeup now because I sell it? Heck yeah! With an excellent, easy-peasy way to incorporate makeup into my daily life—with what Beautycounter calls Flawless in Five—and lip glosses to die for, why wouldn’t I?! ;)

Hey! By the way! If you want to schedule a freebie to talk about Beautycounter, learn more about the products, pick colors, try on different products, etc, lemme know! We can do it in-person or on video (well, minus the trying on part if we’re not live! Though, I will send samples if you want them!)

Flawless in Five Product Bundle

6 easy-to-choose products + 5 minutes = an easy-peasy, flawless, out-the-door look

Flawless in Five is an excellent way to take the guessing game out of what makeup to use and how to look a little more...fresh? refreshed? put-together? before you walk out the door. It's not that you aren't beautiful as you are, but I will say, the days I take the five minutes (truly, it's 5 minutes--tops 7) to put on the six products Beautycounter bundles for their Flawless in Five look, I feel better about everything. And, I have had more than a few people say very complementary things those days—it’s good practice to be able to receive compliments, you know. And, these kind words are always a nice reflection of how taking just a little time for myself makes a noticeable difference in how I am received in the world. :)

My (Other) Beautycounter Top 10 Faves

In addition to the products in the Flawless in Five bundle (foundation, mascara, eyebrow pencil, concealer pen (!), blush, and lip gloss (!!), these are my top 10 Beautycounter faves, in no particular order, btw (although the cleansing balm is magic in a jar):

The Cleansing Balm--This is an excellent makeup remover and cleanser for anyone who wants baby soft skin. Plus, this balm is an amazing multitasker; you can use it as an overnight mask and as a protective layer when going out for a hike in winter months, too, for example. It truly makes a huge difference in the texture of your skin...quickly! Try an overnight mask and you'll see in one try.

No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil--Love this facial oil! It's a blend of seven oils that are lightweight and silky smooth. This combo moisturizes, smooths, and helps even skin tone. It's excellent for all skin types. There are three different oils and they are all fantastic—this one just happens to be my fave.

Countermatch Adaptive Moisturizing Lotion—This little guy uses the intelligence of the plants in the lotion and adapts to your skin’s needs. That’s right. On the coast and need less moisture? You got it. In Arizona and need more? You’re covered. Love this.

No. 3 Balancing Facial Mask—Same as above. I love all three masks, but I REALLY love this one. I think it’s great for anyone, but especially for people who need to balance out the skin.

Sunscreen--This line of sun protection products is pretty outstanding. Using reef-safe (Hawaii won't allow anything else!) ingredients including non-nano zinc, Beautycounter sunscreens go on and rub in easily, smell great, and come in several different application options including mists, sticks, and lotions. My favorite is the Mist.

Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage—This is a part of the sun protection line but I felt like it needed it’s own mention. The Dew Skin is a tinted moisturizer that leaves skin with a luminous glow while providing SPF 20. It is lightweight and gives sheer hydration that evens skin tone while protecting the skin from sun damage.

Lip Sheer--This lip product is definitely awesome. :) It's lightweight yet ultra-moisturizing and buildable, too. Love this stuff and the colors and gorgeous, each one is meant to complement all skin tones. For everyday, I wear Petal. Huge fan. For bold, I wear Scarlet.

Eyeshadow Palettes—I love a good eyeshadow palette. So many beautiful colors(!). The texture and stay-on power of these shadows is pretty remarkable. BC currently has four from which to choose. The Ultimate Neutral and three, “themed” Velvet Eyeshadow palettes. Tough choices. The struggle is real here.

Color Pinch Cream Blusher—I gotta say, for ease of travel, these are fantastic. I have the Hibiscus and the Caramel. (Whoops, I only meant to get one.) I love them for days that I’m on the run and don’t want to fuss with bringing brushes and multiple products with me. I throw this in my bag and have blush, lippie, and a little eye color pop, too. A 3-in-1. My style.

Split End Serum—Oh, it was a tough choice. Between this Split End Serum (of the Repair & Nourish line) and the Hair Oil (of the Smooth & Control line). I like them both, and pretty much had to flip a coin to make a decision. In the end, I think this can be used on ends and in tiny quantities, all over the head/hair, so it eked-out a win. It definitely adds a nice little shine if you use it on dry hair.
